What is ame?

Ame means rain.Humid ocean winds rise to the cold peaks of those mountains.The moisture inside them condenses, forms clouds, and ultimatly turns into ame(and in winter,especially in the northwest snow).At 170cm/67in. per year, Japan has nearly as much precipitation as Australia, China, and the U.S. combined.
